Kayaking is a fun activity. We rent out canoes and kayaks on Nevelvann and Mellsjøen and here you can enjoy activity on the water for a couple of hours, all day or all evening.

It is only the imagination that sets the limits but Nevelvann is a calm water that is suitable for you with limited experience. The Mediterranean is more than twice as big and more open, therefore only recommended for those who have experience with kayaking from the past.

Fog water
The mountain lake which is closest with only 5 minutes by car from the Service Center. Nevelvann is located at the foot of Nevelfjell, which is Nordseter and Lillehammerfjellet's highest mountain. At Nevelvann you will find:

Campfires (one in the north and one in the south)
Gapahuk (south)
Bathing jetty (south)
Utedo (south)
Good fishing water
Parking space (south)

The Mediterranean
The 2nd largest water in Lillehammerfjellet between Reina and Elgåsen only 10 minutes by car from the Service Center. At Mellsjøen you will find:

Campfire site (farthest south)
Bukkholmen
Good fishing water
Parking space at canoe station in Lortvika.

 

Renting a canoe, kayak or rowing boat includes life jackets and oars that you pick up at the Servicesenter in Nordseter before you go to the lakes.

1 Canoe has a maximum space for: 2V + (2B max. 10 years) or 3V.
1 kayak has a maximum space for 1 person
1 Rowing boat has a maximum space for 4 people
